Welcome to Cindy Borders Jewelry. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and any purchases made through it.
Cindy Borders Jewelry is an independently owned jewelry business based in Kentucky, United States. By accessing our website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website.
About Our Jewelry
Cindy Borders Jewelry offers handmade jewelry featuring gemstones, pearls, precious metals, and other materials.
Many of our designs are handcrafted in small batches or made to order. Because of the nature of handmade jewelry and natural materials, individual pieces may have slight variations in appearance.
We make reasonable efforts to present our products accurately through descriptions, photographs, and pricing. Please review our Product Disclaimers for additional information about natural variations and digital images.
Product Availability and Descriptions
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices, and availability information are accurate.
However, product appearance may vary depending on your screen or device. Natural gemstones and pearls vary in color, shape, size, clarity, and luster, while handcrafted metalwork may show subtle individual differences.
Product availability may change without notice. We reserve the right to discontinue products, modify designs, correct listing errors, or limit quantities where appropriate.
If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you to discuss the available options.
Prices and Payment
All prices are listed in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated.
Prices and product availability may change without notice. The price applicable to your purchase is the price displayed when you place your order, subject to the correction of errors and applicable law.
Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By submitting an order, you confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and authorize the applicable charges.
We reserve the right to cancel or decline an order when reasonably necessary, including in cases of suspected fraud, payment authorization failure, pricing errors, or product unavailability. If payment has already been collected for an order we cancel, we will issue an appropriate refund.
Applicable taxes and shipping charges will be displayed at checkout where required.
Order Acceptance and Cancellations
Submitting an order constitutes an offer to purchase the selected products.
An order confirmation email acknowledges receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean the order has been accepted or shipped.
Because many of our pieces are handmade to order, production may begin shortly after an order is placed. If you need to request a cancellation or change, please contact us as soon as possible at cindy@cindybordersjewelry.com.
We cannot guarantee that an order can be changed or canceled once production or fulfillment has begun.
Nothing in this section limits any cancellation or other rights you may have under applicable law.
Processing and Shipping
Most of our jewelry is handmade to order. Please allow 3–5 business days for processing before shipment, unless a different timeframe is stated on the product listing or communicated to you.
Orders are shipped through the United States Postal Service (USPS).
Shipping Rate: A flat rate of $5 per order for USPS Ground Advantage, unless otherwise stated at checkout. Shipping rates are subject to change.
Estimated Transit Time: Orders generally arrive within 2–5 business days after shipment. This is an estimate, not a guaranteed delivery date.
Processing and transit times may vary due to holidays, weather, carrier delays, or other circumstances beyond our control.
Once your order has shipped, carrier tracking information may be provided where available.
Please ensure that your shipping address is accurate and complete when placing your order. We are not responsible for delays or delivery problems resulting from an incorrect address supplied by the customer, although we will make reasonable efforts to assist when possible.
If a package is delayed, lost, or marked as delivered but cannot be located, please contact us. We will work with you and the carrier to determine the appropriate next steps.
Returns and Exchanges
We want you to be happy with your purchase. Eligible items may be returned or exchanged under the following conditions:
Return or exchange requests must be made within 10 days of receipt of your order.
Jewelry must be unworn, in resalable condition, and returned with all original tags attached.
Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
Custom jewelry and sale items are final sale and are not eligible for return or exchange, except where required by law.
To initiate a return or exchange, please email cindy@cindybordersjewelry.com within 10 days of delivery.
Items returned without prior communication, missing their original tags, showing signs of wear, or not meeting the stated conditions may not qualify for a return or exchange, subject to applicable law.
If a return is approved, we will communicate the applicable refund or exchange arrangements. Original shipping charges are not refundable unless required by law or otherwise stated by us.
If your jewelry arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us promptly so we can review the issue and determine an appropriate resolution.
Nothing in this policy limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
Custom and Personalized Jewelry
Custom and personalized pieces may be created or assembled according to the selections or specifications provided by the customer.
Please review your selections carefully before submitting an order. If you have questions about a gemstone, pearl, metal finish, or design option, please contact us before purchasing.
Because custom jewelry is created or personalized for the customer, custom items are final sale, except where required by law or where we agree otherwise in writing.
Natural variations in materials and handcrafted details are not, by themselves, evidence of a defect.
Product Care and Wear
With a little care, your jewelry can be enjoyed for years to come. Follow these simple recommendations to keep your pieces looking their best:
Put Your Jewelry On Last: Apply lotions, perfume, and hairspray before putting on your jewelry.
Keep Your Jewelry Dry: Remove your jewelry before showering, swimming, exercising, or sleeping.
Store Your Jewelry Flat: When not wearing your jewelry, store it flat in a sealed plastic bag to help protect the metals and reduce oxidation.
Handle Circle Earrings With Care: Our signature Circle Earrings are hand-formed and should be handled and stored carefully to help maintain their original shape. Avoid bending or putting pressure on these designs when wearing, storing, or traveling with them.
Avoid Storing Jewelry With Paper: Do not store your jewelry in or around paper, including paper boxes, cotton batting, tags, or cards. Paper contains acids that can interact unfavorably with metals.
Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the content on this website—including product photographs, original designs, written descriptions, graphics, logos, and branding—is owned by or used with permission by Cindy Borders Jewelry and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
You may browse the website and use its content for personal, noncommercial purposes.
You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, publish, commercially exploit, or otherwise use our content or designs without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Purchasing a piece of jewelry does not transfer ownership of the intellectual property associated with its design, photographs, or branding.
