Natural Gemstones and Pearls

Gemstones and pearls are natural materials with individual characteristics. Variations in color, pattern, shape, size, clarity, inclusions, and luster are part of their natural beauty.

Even stones and pearls of the same variety may differ in appearance. These variations are normal and contribute to the individuality of each piece.

Some gemstones and pearls may be treated, dyed, enhanced, cultured, or otherwise modified. We may not always have complete information about the treatments or enhancements applied to the materials used in our designs.

We make reasonable efforts to include available material and treatment information in our product descriptions. However, we cannot guarantee that complete treatment histories or additional details will be available to us. We strive to provide accurate descriptions based on the information available at the time of listing.

Handcrafted Details

Our jewelry is designed and handcrafted with attention to detail. Because pieces are formed and finished by hand, slight variations in shape, finish, dimensions, or other details may occur.

These individual characteristics are part of the handmade process and do not necessarily indicate a flaw.

With a little care, your jewelry can be enjoyed for years to come. Follow these recommendations to help preserve the appearance and condition of your pieces:

  • Avoid Chemicals: Avoid unnecessary exposure to household chemicals, cleaning products, and other substances that may damage metals or gemstones.

  • Store Your Jewelry Flat: When not wearing your jewelry, store it flat in a sealed plastic bag to help protect the metals and reduce oxidation.

  • Avoid Storing Jewelry With Paper: Do not store your jewelry in or around paper, including paper boxes, cotton batting, tags, or cards. Paper contains acids that can interact unfavorably with metals.

  • Handle Delicate Pieces With Care: Handle delicate and hand-formed pieces gently. Avoid bending or putting pressure on these designs when wearing, storing, or traveling with them.

  • Follow Material-Specific Care Recommendations: Some gemstones, pearls, metal finishes, and jewelry constructions require specific care. Please contact us if you need guidance about caring for a particular piece.

Hand-Formed Circle Earrings and Hoops

Our signature Circle Earrings and many of our other designs are hand-formed. Although designed for wear, these pieces may bend or change shape if subjected to pressure, twisting, or rough handling.

Handle these earrings gently when putting them on, removing them, storing them, or traveling with them. Avoid pulling, twisting, or putting pressure on these designs to help preserve their original shape.

Damage caused by bending, impact, or improper handling is not necessarily a manufacturing defect.
